Quectel’s LTE NB-IoT Module Compliant to the 3GPP Release 13 is on its Way

Quectel’s NB‑IoT BC95 module, the China’s first cellular module compliant to the 3GPP Release 13, is expected to be released in the fourth quarter of 2016 and it will provide the basic platform for the terminal suppliers' NB-IoT deployment.

Quectel’s BC95 NB-IoT module supports GSM 900MHz and it will support 1800MHz/ 700MHz/850MHz/800MHz in the future. Reserved for eSIM, it is easier for integrators and designers to cooperate with operator to develop its products. It is also compatible with Quectel GSM/GPRS module M95, which is convenient for customer to migrate from GPRS to NB-IoT.

In Shanghai, China Unicom has deployed NB-IoT networks and Huawei Technology has established NB-IoT open lab to promote the wireless connection for new-standard NB-IoT equipment. It is possible for Quectel to release its cellular NB-IoT module combined easy, affordable, global connectivity with over 10 years’ battery life for low data rate IoT applications.
